Airgun and Sporting Rifle

Sundays – 09:00 am to 12:00 Noon

The Air Gun & Small-bore Rifle league (AGSR) allows BRRC members to develop their precision marksmanship skills using air guns and/or small-bore rifles and to participate in local, provincial, national and international competitions.

  • ISSF Air Pistol/Rifle
  • ISSF 50m (Match) Rifle
  • SSF Hunting/Sporting Rifle
  • CAFTA Pistol/Rifle*

*If you are interested in participating in either of the CAFTA disciplines please contact the Field Target leader (Field Target) for additional information on practice sessions and competitions.

To participate you’ll need a .177 caliber Air Pistol/Rifle or a rifle (Hunting, Sporting or Match) chambered for the 22LR round and 50 to 100 rounds of ammunition.  Access to a club firearm can be arranged; however you are expected to provide your own ammunition.  22LR ammunition should be rated at 1080fps or less (target grade) for best accuracy.

Compressed air is available for Air Pistols/Rifles at no charge.  CO² cartridges if required are the participants responsibility.

Competition approved targets are provided at no cost to the participant.

Informal coaching is available from league members that have competed in match events at various levels of competition.
